FROM 1-1-2017, CUSTOMS PRODEDURE IMPORTING AND EXPORTING GOODS AT CAT LAI PORT WILL BE REDUCE INTO FEWER STEPS

2/ Skipping customs’ confirmation for the declaration sheet egilble passing the observation area.
 

From 1-Jan-2017, The Saigon New Port Corporation and the Cat Lai Border-gate customs sub-department officially implemented new supervising program under Article 41 of the Customs Law for cargo input or storaged, output under customs supervising at the ports. Current policies are now discontinue.

Implementing customs supervising for Import/Export goods under Article 41 of the Customs Law, the applicator does not require to obtain customs’ confirmation through the monitoring area in person.  All procedure will be performed by The Customs and The operating port through electronic system.

For exporting container, if the declarations qualify through observation area, the customs officers confirmed to the list of eligible containers through the observation area to businesses put into Division registered ships - Corporation Saigon Newport company will retain documents and transferred to the operating room for updates to the system.)

For imports container, the Saigon Newport Corporation will arrange staff to accompany customs officials received a list of eligible containers through the observation  operation room and moved up to the system update.)
