                                                        SEA DRAGON LOGISTICS- Fruit irradiation process for the US exportation (Dragon fruit, mango, longan, lychee, rambutan, star apple)

 

Currently these 5 fruits listed are accepted by the US irradiation standards dragon fruit, mango, longan, lychee, rambutan, star apple.

Fruit irradiation process are as follow:

  1. Picking resources:  Products have to be harvested from US certified designated areas
  2. Categorizing : Products quality and requirements need to be meet the regulations of United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
  3. Cleansing : Cleansing process should followed USDA regulations
  4. Packaging
  1. Products have to be packaged at the plants certified by USDA
  2. Demonstrated information on carton boxes – dimension, weight, labeling - should be strictly followed
  3. Proportion, net weight, and gross weight is well compromising
  4. Bottom and top (lid) must be well secured. Any visible gaps on the packaging will be compromise.
  5. The products packages will then be source into sizes and storage at the desire temperature facility.
  1. Irradiation
  1. Products are irradiated directly the USDA certified plants
  2. Amount of  chemical should be followed strictly by the USDA regulations
  3. Products go through automatic irradiating line system
  4. The produces packages will then be sourced into sizes and storaged at the desire temperature facility.
  5. The pallets then be transfer to holding facilities to be process for exportation.
  1. Loading into containers :  Product goods will be load into shipping containers after the required food irradiation processes are complete.
  1. Sea transportation: products on holding pallets are lift into shipping containers with fork-lift. 20 pallets per shipping container.
  2. Air transportation: exporting products are directly packaged and loads into commercial containers. Airport security then personalize inspect and seal the containers
